Many people end up studying a course they didn’t initially plan to study. This lady wrote JAMB 5 times, seeking admission to study Medicine.
In this article we would be looking at a Lady who Wrote JAMB 5times for medicine but graduated as a nurse.
When the Medicine dream is not coming to reality she opted for Nursing. Now, she is happy she did, as she tells her success story:
Many have believed that some things happen by chance and due to different things that people experience per time, they tend to change what they want to do, and then choose another path. Of course, many of the things people do today aren’t based on what they wanted, however, because they don’t have a choice, they had to do it.
Just now, a Nigerian lady has shared her story to the world as she tagged it her success story. In her own words, she revealed that she wrote JAMB (the examination sponsored by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board for admission into Tertiary institution) 5 times, and she added that she was writing it so as to study Medicine in school.
We all know that medicine is one of the most competitive courses and thus, many people aren’t chanced to be admitted for the course, instead, they are admitted for another course. She explained that she wanted to study Medicine and that has been her dream, however, she ended up studying another course, which is nursing.
Today, she has graduated and now serving (National Youth Service Corps), as she shares her story. According to her, she graduated at the age of 21 and this has brought about different confusion to people as they wonder how possible it is for someone to graduate at the age of 21 while studying Nursing.
Nursing is a 5 or 6 years course, and apart from that, she also said she wrote JAMB 5 times, which already shows she did it for 5 years (since JAMB is conducted once per year), and that gives us 10 or 11 years in total. So, the question is, how old was she when she graduated from Senior Secondary School?
See her tweet below and the pictures she showed as she served and how she dressed as a nurse:
I wrote jamb 5 times simply because I wanted to study medicine but finally ended up studying nursing, and I graduated at age 21. Don’t give up on your dreams.
For those of you who want the “big courses” by all means, I wish you all the best. But know when to check other great alternatives because time waits for no man.
