Schools should NOT reopen in Nigeria soonest – see why

Everyone is asking when are schools reopening in Nigeria, but you just have to understand that Nigerian schools should not resume as soon some people want until it is safe to do so; this is especially for secondary schools and lower (primary, nursery, etc).

In this article we would be looking at Schools should not reopen in Nigeria soonest-see why.

Schools in Nigeria Have been shut for the past 100 days due to the ravaging pandemic. Everyone on here knows the streets are not safe for anybody to just flaunt and not get infected, Impossible!
My opinion here will tell you why schools should not reopen this year in Nigeria.

Many people in Nigeria think the pandemic is a cooked up story just because none of their relatives have been infected. Let’s leave that and move to the real deal!

Schools in Nigeria should not be reopened simply because the pandemic has caused a lot of havoc. Moreover, the pandemic is diverting its anger to Africans. This is said to be so because it started in China, now ravaging Africans.

The federal government sometimes made some plans an strategies to make students resume but these strategies are not of help. The FG also stated some guidelines if students resume which are; students should use preventive nose masks, use of hand washing equipments. But tell me, who are those that will provide this? The parents of the students who even struggled to give their children quality education?

The government want to satisfy their selfish interests despite all donations made by Nigeria most prominent individuals.

All these guidelines stated by the FG for students to resume school cannot b followed by students simply because they have no money to buy those items and the government is not willing to help.

My genuine suggestion is to let these innocent pupils and students engage in online classes. I know you would like to ask me “isn’t online classes also expensive?” Now, the question to that is that the Federal Government has made a decision to provide FREE WIFI to varsity students.

In addition, Students won’t resume this year because the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu has dimmed it fit that there are no plans yet that schools will resume soon and moreso no fixed date. Now lets analyze, June is almost ending and we all know if schools will resume this year, atleast there should be a fixed date to be guaranteed but there is nothing of such.

While some students are eager to go back to school, it is important to understand that this might not happen now until certain safety measures are put in place.

Things to put in place before schools can resume

When you see school resumptions in some other parts of the world, you can see they were well prepared for it. Our schools and government need to put in place serious preventive measures against coronavirus (that we can see not just hear) before sending students out there.

The pictures below show some of those protective measures applied elsewhere in the world and before opening schools here, we need to adopt such measures in every school across the country.

Why is this important?

The reason this is important is obvious but just in case you don’t know, coronavirus is still out there and the question is much confidence do you have in the level preparedness of schools and government for reopening of schools?

Students want to go back to school, that is quite understandable but… It is he who is alive and healthy that goes to school.

While you patiently wait a little longer for schools to reopen, get yourself fully prepared with past questions and answers for free.

I hope you find this article helpful as well as interesting.
