Someone asked if Life Changer recommended by Jamb will be used in Post UTME this year. It won’t be used by any School. Sweet 16 is only for Jamb and will not be set in any Nigerian University or Polytechnic Post UTME Questions.
Another question that comes to mind is whether there is a Recommended novel for Post UTME. There is no generally recommended novel for Post UTME. Jamb is a general examination while Post UTME is conducted by individual institutions.
Every University and Polytechnic have the right to set screening questions they feel is suitable. Few schools even decide to add current affairs to their Post UTME Screening questions.
As far as I know, there is no recommended novel for Use of English in Post UTME in any Nigerian school. For Post UTME Literature in English, novels can be set based on Jamb standard or announced by the school.
In a situation where the school doesn’t mention novel for literature, simply read other literature topics and follow Waec and Jamb standard of setting questions.
Like I always say, Post UTME is not a very special exam. After going through Post UTME questions for so many schools in Nigeria, I have seen that many schools set Jamb and Waec questions word for word. Others schools twist or modify Olevel questions.
You may be thinking, if Post UTME is just Waec and Jamb standard, why do a lot of persons fail? One of the failure factors in Post Jamb is time. You’re usually not given enough time to answer questions in the Post UTME Exam hall. This builds up a kind of tension in you which leads to errors.
If you didn’t study very well for Waec and Jamb or either passed by mistake or runs, then post UTME may pull your legs. You are 100% on your own when it comes to Post UTME.
In summary, no generally recommended novel for post UTME in Nigeria. Post-UTME is the same standard as the West African Examination Council and Joint Admission Exam. You can pass without any assistance.
