Reasons Your Salary Is Not Enough

Is your Salary Enough? If you have noticed that the money you receive monthly isn’t enough for you to pay bills then this article is for you.

We often complain that our salary is not enough. But why is your income not enough?

Our salary can be a major problem for surviving. Though we also have legit reasons why our salary is not enough.

But sometimes, we have to sit down, think and process our thoughts to be sure why the salary we are receiving is not always enough!

But, I don’t blame some people. They have legit reasons why their salary can’t help them meet up for a month. The following are some reasons your salary isn’t enough:

1. Comparison With Others

This one here is a big issue because you have to settle it with yourself. Assuming our Friend A or B is buying all the latest brands for themselves. Or buying things for their children. This doesn’t permit you to buy.

Yes, I said it!! It doesn’t, why because you don’t know the source where that money came from. We put ourselves in so many money issues because of this.

If you have someone who is always intimidating you to spend above what you earn, hmmm. Please RUN!!! Life is too short to be living in debt.

2. You Spend Above Your Income

Spending above our income sometimes, I would say is an act done subconsciously. I don’t know why I think like that. You know sometimes we all are just guilty of this.

This is it, we start spending our salary before it comes in, so when it comes in half of the salary is gone.

A few weeks into the month or days into the week you are thinking of how to survive. Then we are left with no option than borrowing.

Please before you come for me, I know that there can be other factors that affect this issue but just stay with me, we are going to address some of them.

3. You Don’t Have A Budget List

Having a budget list for our daily life activities is difficult. It’s easy to have a budget list for going to the store, but for our daily activities, it isn’t.

Why do we always have this issue? But do you know that if you can build the same habit of having a budget list for buying groceries, you can also do the same for your daily life activities?

So, let us start this way, you know how much you spend daily for food and transportation, you set it aside. If you aren’t receiving a buoyant income, please don’t set aside money monthly for new dresses.

Rather, you save for 6 months or more for dresses, so you won’t go broke trying to meet up with fashion. You can also have a budget for dinner with friends or yourself, you know life is too short.

4. High Standard Of Living

A high standard of living is a big problem. In this case, you might be earning well but the standard of living won’t let you breathe properly with the salary you are earning.

If it’s not the high cost of renting an apartment, it would be the high cost of food items or clothing. This here is an issue but if you can build the habit of saving you would be able to cope.

5. Your Salary Is Too Small

Salary being too small is a legit reason for complaining especially when you have children.

So, as a student don’t go and buy Gucci then start complaining about salary being too small. Girl! You are moving with fashion so you are going to bear the consequences yourself.

So, if your legit reason for complaining your salary is too small is that your salary is small, you should try getting a side hustle, it would help you in covering other expenses that your salary can’t cover.
