JAMB has released news that over 1.9 million registered candidates are to sit for the 2020 UTME. This is the highest number of candidates registered by JAMB since it’s inception.
The announcement was made by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the Head of Media and Information, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board(JAMB). Candidates who are yet to register are to note that JAMB registration is set to close by Midnight, 17th February 2020.
In this article we would be looking at Over 1.9m registered candidates for 2020 UTME.
With the number of candidates registered for JAMB this year, it is clear that admission into schools will be highly competitive as a large number of students are clamouring for limited slots into tertiary institutions. This is purely going to be a case of “The survival of the fittest!”
However, regardless of the number of candidates this year, you can secure admission into any of the tertiary institutions of your choice by scoring high in JAMB and Post UTME, subsequently.
We strongly advise all candidates to ensure they download the JAMB CBT APP 2020 from EduPadi. This app will facilitate your preparation for the exam at hand and also give you a first-hand experience of how the JAMB CBT works.
The 2020 JAMB CBT Mock exam has been slated for 18th February. Candidates who indicated an interest in the Mock exam should click on the following link for guidelines on How to print JAMB Mock exam slip 2020 UTME.
As reported by Dr Fabian Benjamin, “A total of 669 out of the 747 centers across the country will be used for the conduct of the computer-based test (CBT). One of the purposes of the mock examination is to test-run the facilities in these centers. Anyone of them that falls short of the standard will automatically be delisted.”
This is a welcome development and we hope this helps as there have been cases of faulty CBT facilities at the cause of the exams. For those who will not be taking part in the exam, there is no cause for alarm as EduPadi has all the necessary equipment to prepare you for the JAMB battlefield.
