You may be wondering, how many 2024 Jamb candidates Got the National Identification Number (NIN) before it was cancelled? The simple answer is that only 40% of potential Jamb candidates enrolled NIN for Jamb.
Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the JAMB Registrar disclosed that about 40 percent of JAMB candidates already obtained National Identity Number (NIN) in the country before it was cancelled.
How did he get the percentage when people haven’t registered Jamb? He simply compared the number of people who have gotten their NIN to the average number of candidates who take Jamb yearly.
He disclosed this at a meeting with Computer Based Test centers, Technical Advisors, Service providers (MTN, Airtel, Galaxy backbone etc) and other stakeholders in Kaduna.

He asserted that the campaign against NIN is mainly orchestrated by those benefiting from registration and examination scandals and added that the current campaign against NIMC, will not stop JAMB from collaborating with them.

Prof Oloyede equally called on the Computer Professional Registration Council of Nigeria (CPRCN), to help JAMB pay particular attention to CCTV as the board has observed that some computer-based test (CBT) centres are tampering with CCTV camera in collaboration with JAMB’s technical officers.
