In a commitment to helping students achieve their educational goals, SGI has partnered with universities and organizations to offer nine different scholarships with varying eligibility requirements.

SGI Canada Application Process

SGI will accept applications starting May 1 and the SGI Application deadline is September 30. Students must provide proof of enrolment in the fall semester with their application.

SGI doesn’t guarantee employment for award recipients; however, we may give recipients preferential consideration following the completion of their studies and/or for summer or co-op work terms.

Open to students enrolled in the Management Studies Faculty in the areas of:

• Management Studies Diploma

Applicants must:

• be enrolled full-time and take a full course load
• have a minimum 70% average
• have 90% attendance

If multiple applicants meet the above criteria, there will be some secondary criteria used to break ties such as:

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must:

• Be a resident of Saskatchewan, Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta or Manitoba.
• Be registered in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of studies in Risk Management and Insurance (RMIN) or Risk Management and Insurance/Finance (RMIF) at the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary.

8. SGI Actuarial Science Scholarship
