No Candidate Plans to Fail Waec or Neco, but many fail to plan. Meanwhile, Waec and Neco come with surprises for people who fail to plan.
Like I always say, it is either you pass an exam or you fail; There is no neutrality so long examination is concerned. Success doesn’t mean that you are the most intelligent neither does failure mean that you are dull. It’s just about time and chance.
Don’t stay at home mourning day and night just because you failed Waec or because your parents are shouting at you. Doing that will change nothing. What counts is the things you do after failing Waec or Neco. That’s exactly what I will share with you here.
Instead of Crying morning till Night or Giving up, the following are things you should do if you fail Waec or Neco…
1. Know Why You Failed
There are different reasons why people fail in SSCE. It could range from poor preparations, health issues, cheating to lack of confidence.
Telling yourself the truth is honesty but telling others is integrity. If you are really sincere to yourself, then you should be able to point out what made you fail in the just concluded Waec or Neco.
If you failed because of poor preparations then it is time to tighten you belt. Was it a friend that make you fail? Then it is time to choose a better friend.
Most times, failure is as a result of the subject you hate so much. The more you hate the subject, the more you begin to perform poorly in the subject. You will always attract what you love.
Was the problem because of your exam centre? Then do not use the same centre in your examination.
The bottom line is that you are able to identify and stop what stopped you. If you don’t correct the mistakes that made you to fail earlier then you will still fail this year Waec/Neco.
2. Don’t Give Up
There is always tendency for you to give up after a major failure. The tendency increases when you actually put in your best to pass the examination which turned out the other way.
If you have written Waec or Neco more than once, a question comes to your mind, can I still pass Waec and Neco? Sure! you can pass this time around if you really mean it. You are not a failure but a success. You have all it takes to come out in flying colours.
