Jamb is around the corner, and I have been doing my best to ensure you pass Jamb this time. Today, I will teach you what to avoid immediately after you leave the Jamb Examination Centre.
To make sure you score above 250 in Jamb, I launched a Jamb App to help you. You may want to click here to get the Flashlearners Jamb 2024 app or continue reading and come back later for it.
Without wasting much time, let me share five things you must not do when you come out of Jamb Hall this year. Take number five very seriously.
- Don’t Discuss answers with friends
- Don’t cross-check your answers
- Don’t let fellow Jambites intimidate you
- Don’t argue answers with anyone
- Don’t keep thinking about the Exam
I will now explain the points above in detail. But you may want to see how many hours you should start reading daily for Jamb here.
Don’t Discuss Answers with Friends
Just imagine your friends arguing whether the answer is 7 or 7.5 and you chose 700?
One mistake students make immediately they come outside Exam hall is discussing answers with friends. This doesn’t help you at all because you will always find out the Jamb questions you answered wrongly. Even if you got only five questions wrongly, the discussion will make it seem you “failed everything”.
If possible, don’t hang around Jamb venue after the exam. Go straight to your house, bathe and force yourself to sleep. Keep living a happy life until Jamb results are released. The good news is that your results are released within a few days.
Don’t Cross-check Your Answer
Many Jambites bring out books and phones after Jamb to cross-check answers. You don’t have to do that. What if you cross check and find out you choose the wrong option? Would you go back and change it? Obviously no. Therefore, you need not bother whether you chose the wrong option.

Don’t let Fellow Jamb Candidates Intimidate you
Some times, you may not really be happy because you think the exam did not go well for you. But fellow jambites won’t let you rest. They will come out of the hall and be shouting that the examination was easy.
They will be saying things like “I killed Jamb”. Don’t let dem put you in depression. Jamb may end up killing them.
When they come to ask you how it went, just tell them it was okay. I bet that you will eventually score higher than them when Jamb results are released. I explained more of this in my article on 10 reasons you may fail Jamb.
Don’t Argue with anyone Outside Jamb Hall
Like I said above, don’t discuss answers with friends. However, it is normal for a friend to ask you questions like, “what was your answer in that friction question”. If you feel like telling them your answer, tell them. But when he/she starts arguing, just leave them alone.
Don’t argue answers with anyone. They are not the ones marking the questions. Wait for Jamb results to be released to know who is who.

Don’t keep thinking about the Exam
The exam is over and you no longer have control over how things will go.
You don’t need to keep feeling bad because of the few questions you think you didn’t answer correctly. Free yourself like you didn’t even write an exam. You deserve to be happy.
