About Turkish Government Scholarships
Turkey is a popular study destination for those who want to study in an atmosphere of great historical importance and culture and the universities. The government of Turkey is now accepting applications for its fully-funded scholarships for students around the world.
The Türkiye Scholarship is a competitive scholarship program funded by the government of Turkey for high achieving students and researchers who want to study in the best universities in Turkey.
The motto of this program is to make a network of future leaders committed to strengthening cooperation between countries and mutual understanding between societies.
Eligibility Criteria
- Citizens of all countries can apply for this program
- Graduates or applicants who can graduate at the end of the current academic year (before September 2019)
- Researchers and academicians
Level of Study
The scholarship is available for the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees of programs.
Academic Requirements
Applicants for the Turkish Government Scholarships must meet the following minimum academic achievements:
- For Bachelor’s degree applicants need to have 70%,
- For Master’s and Doctorate applicants are required to have 75%,
- For Health Science (Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy) applicants is needed 90% in the previous academic field.

Short-Term Programs
Success Scholarship Program (1 year)
- Monthly Stipend:
- Bachelor’s: 440 TL per month

- The success scholarship program does not cover accommodation and other amenities
Research Scholarship Program (3-10 months):
- Monthly Stipend: 3.000 TL per month
- Research scholarship does not include accommodation and other facilities
Turkish Language & Culture Programs
- Turkish Language Programme for Public Officials and Academicians [KATİP] (8-10 months)
- KATİP program does not cover health insurance
- Monthly Stipend: 2.000 TL per month

Application Procedure for Turkish Government Scholarships
All the applications will be made online through www.turkiyeburslari.gov.tr by the candidates only.
- Candidates must all read the instructions and warnings given in the application system carefully.
- Applicants need to submit and upload the necessary documents to the application system.
- Applications are free of charge. Be careful about any third party institutions or individuals to make an application on your behalf in exchange for a fee.
- The Turkey scholarships offer both scholarship and university placement at the same time. Successful candidates will be placed in their 12 priorities in a university and program that they choose in the application system.
Required Documents for Turkish Government Scholarships
Students need to have the following document to make the applications:
- A valid national identity document or a valid passport.
- A recent photo of the candidate (the photo must be identifiable)
- The candidate who has no international qualification or certification are required to submit a National Examination Score.
- Diploma or Graduation certificate
- Academic transcripts (online screenshots and all the transcripts are required to be certified)
- International exam scores (GRE, GMAT, DELF, YDS, YÖS …etc. if required by the chosen university & program)
- Language test scores (according to the requirement of the selected university & program)
- A research proposal and an example of your written work (for Ph.D. applicants only)admission Requirements
