Jamb suspended use of the National Identification Number (NIN) for 2023 Jamb registration. This was due to the short notice and capacity of NIN Centres. Many candidates couldn’t enrol NIN for Jamb.
You do not need to ask whether it is true that Jamb stopped the use of NIN for registration and creation of Jamb profile. Jamb made the official statement via their Twitter handle.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB has suspended the use of the National Identification Number as a prerequisite for the registration of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination UTME.
The Registrar of JAMB Professor Ishaq Oloyede who stated this while briefing newsmen in Abuja said the move was to provide more time for candidates to get their national identification number.
Prof. Oloyede said the suspension was also to address the technical challenges experienced in some centers.
You no longer need to send NIN to 55019 to create Jamb profile for 2020 Jamb. Do you want to know how to create Jamb profile now? Check here for how to create your profile.
